CANTABILE Eisteddfod, Llangollen 2008  Cantabile Youth Choir is a young vibrant choir of both boys and girls. The age range is 9-21 years, although 8 year olds are allowed to train with the choir, but not perform. It is in its seventh year. The choir affords a high level of musical training to all members, both within choir rehearsals and within group sessions or private lessons. The choir demands a high level of commitment, due to its heavy rehearsal andperformance schedule. Performance opportunities inlcude competitions both nationally and internationally, concerts,recordings and private bookings. In 2008 Cantabile Youth Choir became 'Chamber Choir' champions at the Jersey International Music Festival and 6th best ' Senior Children's Choir' at the Llangollen International Music Festival. In 2009 they took theWorcester Arts Council Award for 'High Achievement'. Senior Girls-Winners in Jersey 2008  Achievements: In the last 3 years Cantabile Youth Choir have achieved various awards at many different competitions including: November 2009: North Wales Choral Festival - Placed 3rd. March 2009: Worcester Arts Counil for 'High Achievement'. October 2008: Jersey International Music Festival- Cantabile Senior Girls- Winners in the Chamber Choir Class. July 2008: Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod - Senior Children's Choir Class; 6th best in the world. March 2008: Worcester Music and Drama Festival; Winners plus the adjudicators Award for the Most Outstanding Performance. AUDITIONS are held twice a year in September and January.
